Power Skills Program- Frequently Asked Questions

  • The Power Skills Program is a Tier 1 curriculum for all students. It does include a secondary Mental Health program that can be used for Tier 3 students, focusing on evidence-based strategies for Anxiety, ADHD, and Trauma interventions in the classroom and with social workers.

  • The Power Skills Program is a Tier 1 curriculum for all students in Pre-K to 8th grade. This program includes 3 levels: Pre-K to 1st, Elementary, and Junior high; allowing it to grow alongside the student, year after year

  • The Power Skills Program is a one time purchase that can be used annually. It also includes a 2-hour professional development training for staff and continued access to the members-only portion of the Power Skills website

  • The Power Skills members pages include audio and video resources to use with the curriculum. It also includes additional worksheets and activities that can be used to supplement with the program, such as seasonal activities and brain break activities. Blogs for continued education and development are also included for staff.

  • These strategies are evidence based to assist with emotional regulation. The long term benefit is not only for the student, but for the teachers and school environment as well as the student body’s regulation, emotional intelligence, and resiliency builds. Also, this program can have a community impact. Teachers using the Power Skills program have noted receiving positive feedback from parents that the Power Skills strategies have been used at home for emotional regulation as well.

  • It can be both! The program includes digital downloads for the entire curriculum, which can be printed as needed. Staff trainings can be in-person or digital based on location. Also, paper booklets can be printed for an additional fee.
